ctbuys The vocals are my favourite part about this record. Very powerful stuff. I'm glad I found this record. Favorite track: Relapse.
Euclid thumbnail
Euclid Djenty yet emotive, this EP finds a nice balance between heavy chugs and melodic sprinkles. The personal lyrics give it a far more human feel, which can often be lacking for bands in this trope. Favorite track: A Necessary Evil.
GeN2Mo thumbnail
GeN2Mo Oppressive riffing riding on a bass that gurgles and roars on frequencies that'll make your bones rattle. Creating a soundscape reminiscent but not derivative of Nemertines and Caynug. Whith a vocalist doing some of the most magnificent stylistic splits between Jonathan Davis and Tommy Hjelm you could possibly think of.
Intense as fuck. Favorite track: A Necessary Evil.
Caynug thumbnail
Caynug First off: This album is mindblowingly inspiring. So many "Out-of-bounds" moments which lead to plenty of gut wrenching surprises. Not overproduced, not overwritten, very real and raw. Nu-Metal influences, Djent and even Thall on some parts. Very modern, yet it's kicking you back to the old Nu-Metal days (minus bad production). Every song is golden.

By A Thread is my favorite song. When listening to it I think of: oldschool Nu-Metal, Silent Hill, Thall, Desperation

Album Rating: 10/10 Favorite track: By A Thread.

The main theme of this record is the crippling feeling of being held back. Whether by your inner self, others, or a greater force.

I have been going through times during which I couldn't get anything done or even leave my home without some inner self of mine interfering. Sometimes this "weak inner self" can become so overpowering, that you can feel it corrupting your mind more and more.

Furthermore, Relapse is a song about a former lover of mine. A love interest so strong and at the same time unfulfilling, because the affection was not returned. Then you think that you're finally over it and something inside you pulls you right back - A relapse, of some sort.

released May 29, 2016

Written, recorded and produced by Philipp Fischer (Niverlare).

Vocals and lyrics for Relapse. Catharsis and A Necessary Evil by Michael Schires. A huge shoutout to him for being a great guy to work with and a killer, raw vocalist.

Another huge shoutout to Benjamin Rijsdijk (Dayviewer) for all the EP Artwork and great cooperation.

Last but not least I'd like to thank my brother (from another mother) Caynug for the years of inspiration and help along the way.
